Something that creative people get told a lot is “you can’t do that”. Sometimes those words are accompanied by a reason (we tried that before, we’ve never done that before, there’s no budget, there’s no time, etc.). The reasons don’t matter any more than the the original statement — not for a creative person bent on making a dent in the status quo.
The only relevant response to someone saying
“You can’t do that”
is “Oh, yeah? Watch me.”
The prolific Casey Niestat created a video back in 2017 that I shared with my mastermind group when it was released. I had forgotten about it and ran across it again while updating old posts and clearing out the mastermind Slack channel (watch for a big reboot coming soon!!!) and when I watched it again I was instantly reminded why I shared it with my coaching clients in the first place.
Take a look and then go out and “Do What You Can’t”
