Living Up to Leaving a Lasting Legacy

It’s always pretty incredible when a long-term goal comes to fruition. Even more so when the end-game holds special meaning — not something like buying your dream car or taking your ideal vacation — but something with almost historical significance.

That’s how I felt today after receiving word I was among a handful of  people chosen to become newly designated “Gitomer Certified Speakers.”  There are eight new faces that will be added to the original eight currently featured on the GitomerCertified.com website — and I have the distinct honor of being one of them.

For those living under a rock, Jeffrey Gitomer is an internationally known speaker, sales trainer, and author of almost a dozen books that have appeared at the top of  the best-seller list.

Jeffrey shared with the finalists that in recent years he’s been considering his personal legacy.  He’s given a lot of thought to what steps can be taken to ensure that the content and insights he’s been creating over the past years will find new audiences into the future. To that end, he decided to hand-select a group of individuals that he personally trusts to deliver his message and content with clarity, humor, and impact.

Those of you who’ve known me for longer than five minutes know that I’m a Gitomer fan from way back, and it’s always been a personal goal to work with Jeffrey and his team in a more meaningful way.

To have the opportunity to work with a personal mentor and play a role in helping carry his legacy forward is about as meaningful as it gets.
