Around The Bend

Many people live their lives trying to find success by predicting what waits unseen just around the bend.  A big problem with that strategy is that you can’t see around corners, and in attempting to do so you’ll strain your eyes, give yourself major migraine headaches, and you will completely miss all the opportunities right beside you as you travel down the road.

If someone is trying to see around the bend in the photo above, they may miss all the beautiful fall colors of the leaves, the interesting shapes of the tree branches, and perhaps even those two business prospects waiting for someone to give them a hand (did you miss them too?).

Life is a series of curvy roads and you can rarely see around the bend

If you focus too much on trying to see around the bend, you’ll miss the opportunities on the straightaways connecting those curves.

The road to success is never a straight road, it has curves and bends like a kid laying out a HotWheels racetrack. Even kids know that a long straight track without and bends in it is kinda boring. Just like life, it’s the unexpected curves that give it meaning and enjoyment.
